Palace Playland

Palace Playland is a 4 acre amusement park located on the beach in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. We offer over 30 rides and attractions, including a 20,000 square foot arcade. We are New England's only beach front amusement park. We offer rides and amusements for the young and the thrill seeker. Our rides include a classic Ferris wheel, carousel, two roller coasters and other thrill rides, including Adrenalin and Power Surge. As we like to say - Great rides, lots of food, midway and arcade games, gift shops and more - Palace Playland is the coolest place to be this summer!

Maine experiences a humid continental climate with warm (although generally not hot), humid. During the summer months, daytime highs are generally in the 75–80°F (24–27°C) range throughout the state with overnight lows in the high 50s°F (around 15 °C). The temperatures seldom stays hot at night, which is great for sleeping! You might want to take a sweater or light jacket, because the air is cool near the water at night.

How to Get There

It is recommended that students fly into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), and then take public transportation to North Station. From North Station, there is an Amtrak train called The Downeaster with service to Maine, including a stop in Old Orchard Beach. Palace Playland is located across the street from the Amtrak station. Students should arrive at Palace Playland for orientation scheduling and paperwork processing Monday through Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM. Students MUST inform the employer of their travel plans at least two weeks prior to arrival in the U.S.
