Moab Under Canvas is located on 40 acres, 7 miles north of Moab, Utah, a small resort town just moments away from the entrance to both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Moab offers a lot of activities for outdoor enthusiasts who like hiking, biking, rafting, etc. Salt Lake City is a four hour drive away, so we are not near a large city. We are looking for outgoing individuals who are not afraid to get a little dirty and who are excited about spending their summer in a beautiful, remote natural setting! There is an average of 41 days with temperatures reaching 100°F (38°C), 109 days reaching 90°F (32°C), and 3.6 days per winter where the temperature remains at or below freezing. The highest temperature was 114°F (46°C) on July 7, 1989. The lowest temperature was −24°F (−31°C) on January 22, 1930. How to Get There

Students must communicate their travel plans with their employer at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. It is recommended that students fly into either Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) in Grand Junction, Colorado or Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) in Salt Lake City, Utah and the employer will pick you up, as long as you arrive between the hours of 8:00am- 6:00pm. The employer will also pick-up students at the Greyhound bus station in Moab. For information about the bus, please visit www.greyhound.com. If you arrive outside of these times, you will need to find accommodations near the airport at your own expense and contact the employer for pick-up the next day.
