Yellowstone Village Inn and Suites

Yellowstone Village Inn and Suites is located in Gardiner, Montana, which is a small town of about 700 people in the off season. During the summer season we are very busy with tourists visiting Yellowstone National Park. Gardiner has a grocery store, post office, bank, library, and several restaurants. 

 

We are a family owned hotel built in 1988. In the past several years, we have completely renovated the entire property, making it #1 in Gardiner. The hotel is operated by 2 generations of family and our student family who joins us every summer! We have 45 units here to care for.  We also have a swimming pool, that our students can use, a basketball court, tetherball and of course incredible hiking. The Yellowstone River runs through town in front of the hotel. We can arrange white water rafting and horseback riding. Free wifi is available.

About Gardiner, MT:

The town is nestled in Paradise Valley with the Yellowstone River running through the town. Gardiner has the atmosphere of a quaint western town, complete with Antelope, Bison, Deer and Elk meandering and grazing throughout the town. The Roosevelt Arch, located at the northern border of Yellowstone National Park, and is the most famous structure in Gardiner. Gardiner offers a small airport, art galleries, churches, grocery store, motels, restaurants, shops, and related visitor services.

 

Gardiner is located five miles from Mammoth Hot Springs, and 56 miles from Old Faithful.

Weather in Gardiner, MT

Gardiner is considered to be a high plains desert.  With the variation in elevation and character of exposure, some areas will receive more precipitation than others. The Gardiner area has a cool, semi-arid climate. This means annual temperature and precipitation varies with altitude. For example, the Gardiner area receives between 10 and 14 inches of rain per year, while the Jardine area, approximately 1,000 feet higher in elevation, receives 18 to 20 inches of rain per year. Temperatures will vary as much as 10 - 15 degrees with altitude.

 

Summers are generally pleasant with warm days and cool nights, with an occasional afternoon thundershower. The warmest month is typically July, with daily temperatures averaging 85° F (29°C). How to Get There

Students must inform us of their travel plans at least 2 weeks prior to arrival to arrange pick-up. We recommend that students fly into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) in Bozeman, MT. We will pick-up students in Bozeman only, either at the airport or the Greyhound station. Students must arrive between the hours of 11am (11h) and 7pm (19h).  If arriving after hours, students will need to stay at a hotel and will be picked up the following day.
