The Atlantic City Boardwalk was the first boardwalk in the United States, having opened on June 26, 1870. The Boardwalk has been home to several piers over the years with amusement games and rides. The Absecon Light is a coastal lighthouse located in the north end of Atlantic City. It is the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey and the third tallest masonry lighthouse in the United States. How to Get There

The best airport for students to fly into for Atlantic City is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Students may also fly into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) or New York City/JFK International Airport (JFK). Students MUST provide employer with their transportation plans at least two weeks prior to arrival in the U.S.


From Philadelphia, students can take New Jersey Transit from Philadelphia's 30th Street Station directly to Atlantic City. Those who fly into Newark Liberty or New York/JFK airports can get to Atlantic City through varied transportation (train/bus/shuttle/taxi) and may need to change services/trains frequently.
