Our hotel is located in Long Lake, a very small town in the state of New York. The town of Long Lake has a year-round population of less than 1000 people. The area is renowned for abundant golfing, fishing and craft stores. Built on the water’s edge of 14-mile Long Lake, our historic landmark hotel has a private beach, 2 verandas overlooking the lake, plus a quaint gazebo. The property is a 10-minute drive from Buttermilk Falls and 15 minutes from Blue Mountain.

How to Get There

Students MUST email employer their arrival information AT LEAST two weeks before they depart for the United States. Students should fly into any airport in New York City, such as the John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) or LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Students will then need to go to the Port Authority bus station via taxi or public transportation (taxi cost will vary from anywhere between 27 and 55 dollars, depending on which airport you arrive into). You will take the NY Trailways bus to Albany, NY switching in Albany to the Adirondack Trailway bus which will arrive in Glens Falls, NY where the employer will pick you up. From there your employer will transport you to Long Lake, NY and the Adirondack Hotel (about 1 1/2 hour drive). Before leaving your country it is best to become Facebook friends with the employer so you can stay in touch while traveling in case there are problems or travel arrival changes.
