Deluxe Oceanfront Motel and Cottages

Deluxe Oceanfront Motel & Cottages is located directly on the most beautiful section of Old Orchard Beach and is a 20 minute stroll to the Pier and attractions.  Our property is right on the Beach, so students will enjoy working with a view of the ocean all day!

We are just one mile from downtown Old Orchard and one mile from Pine Point, so there’s plenty of cultural opportunities! The Old Orchard Beach trolley stops right at Deluxe to take you straight to Old Orchard Beach downtown! The local trolley operates throughout the day from late June to Labor Day weekend. Our property is walking or biking distance to a grocery store, laundromat, restaurants, cafes, shopping and much more.

·        An OOB classic is their Pier Fries, which were originally located on the Pier, but now can be found at the edge of Old Orchard Street in the historic Whitehall Building.

·        OOB’s Pier Casino Ballroom and Palace Ballroom hosted many big band era acts such as Duke Ellington and Lawrence Welk.  Check out the Harmon Museum for a great exhibit on big bands!

·        During the summer, plan on fireworks shows on the beach every Thursday!

·        You can take the Amtrak Downeaster to Freeport, ME for great outlet shopping and the home of L. L. Bean!

 

Weather in Old Orchard Beach:

 

Maine experiences a hot and humid climate during the summer months.  Daytime high temperatures are around 75–80°F (24–27°C) with night lows in the high 50s°F (around 15 °C). The temperatures seldom stays hot at night, which is great for sleeping! Rain is common on the coast, so make sure you have a raincoat!  You might want to take a sweater or light jacket, because the air is cool near the water at night. How to Get There

Please contact us with travel plans before arriving in the US! 

 

·        Students can fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS) where they’ll switch to the MBTA.  Students should take the Silver Line (SL1) to South Station where they’ll change to the Red Line towards Alewife.  At the “Downtown Crossing” stop, they’ll switch to the Orange Line which will take them to North Station.  From North Station, students can find the Amtrak Downeaster and ask an agent for a ticket to Old Orchard Beach, ME.  The trip should cost about $30-$35 US. 

 

·        Students can also fly into Portland International Jetport (PWM).  From the Jetport take an Uber, Lyft, or Taxi to the Amtrak Downeaster station, where they’ll ask the agent for a ticket to Old Orchard Beach, ME.  The trip should cost less than $20 US.
