Students working at Seapointe Village will be cleaning rental townhomes, mid-rise and garden rental apartments. What is the weather like in Wildwood, NJ?

New Jersey’s climate divides into regions, and the south part of the state has a humid mesothermal climate. Summers are typically hot and humid, with statewide average high temperatures of 82–88°F (28–31°C) and lows of 60–70°F (16–21°C); however, temperatures exceed 90°F (32°C) on average 25 days each summer, though rarely exceed 100°F (38°C). Winters are usually cold, with average high temperatures of 38–46°F (3–8°C) and lows of 26–32°F (-3–0°C) for most of the state, but temperatures could, for brief interludes, be as low as 10–20°F (-12–-7°C) and sometimes rise to 50–60°F (10–16°C). How to Get There

Students MUST be in touch with their Employer at least two weeks prior to arrival. Students MUST have housing pre-arranged with their Employer prior to arrival into Wildwood. Students should travel in groups and fly into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in Newark, New Jersey or John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in New York City between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday ONLY.

 

There are several transportation options from Newark Airport to the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal. From the bus terminal, take a bus to Wildwood, New Jersey. For more information, please visit www.njtransit.com or www.greyhound.com.

 

Students who do not arrive in Wildwood between 9am and 4pm, will need to find accommodations in the airport or in New York City (at a hostel or hotel) and take the bus to Wildwood in the morning. It is the student’s responsibility to pay for the cost of a hotel and transportation to Seapointe.

 

Important: Please do not come to your job after 4:00pm, as no one will be able to greet you. You should first go to your pre-arranged housing in Wildwood and contact your Employer from there.

 

You can look for housing online here- https://southjersey.craigslist.org/search/apa and you should make long-term or short-term housing arrangements BEFORE your arrival in Wildwood. Most of the housing in the area is either apartments or rooming houses.
