Mariners Arcade

Mariner’s Arcade is located on Mariner's Landing Pier, in the heart of Wildwood’s World Famous Boardwalk.

 

Our air conditioned arcade is located on Mariner’s Landing Amusement Pier in the heart of the Wildwoods’ award-winning Boardwalk which features 38 blocks packed end to end with stores, shops, water parks, eateries, live entertainment and amusement piers with over 100 rides and attractions. All of these activities are available to students in their free time.

 

We are near Wildwood’s free beaches which offer plenty of room for a variety of summertime activities – everything from surfing to boogie-boarding to body surfing to Frisbee to reading in the shade. This is a summer destination with many seasonal businesses. Therefore, Wildwood, NJ, has many seasonal workers including J-1 Work & Travel students. It is a great place to make friends! *Please note – The arcade is open weekends ONLY until June. Students will work rain or shine.

Summers are typically hot and humid, with statewide average high temperatures of 82–88°F (28–31°C) and lows of 60–70°F (16–21°C); however, temperatures exceed 90°F (32°C) on average 25 days each summer, though rarely exceed 100°F (38°C). How to Get There

Students must communicate their travel plans to their employer at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and arrange a pick-up reservation. It is recommended that students fly into John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York or Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) in Philadelphia, PA. Once at the airport, students must then take a bus to Wildwood, arriving between the hours of 10:00am- 4:00pm EST. If you arrive in Wildwood between these times, the employer will be there to pick you up at the bus stop. If you think you will arrive in wildwood after 4:00pm EST, please stay where you are and arrange for a hotel. For hostel information, please visit www.hostels.com or www.hostelz.com.

 

If students fly into JFK-

1. Take a shuttle or a Taxi to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.

2. Board the 319 Bus toward Atlantic City, NJ via Tom’s River and you arrive at the Atlantic City Bus Terminal. This takes around 2.5 hours.

3. From the Atlantic City Bus terminal, take a Bus for Cape May Crest Haven and you arrive at the Lions Senior Center in Wildwood, NJ. This takes about 1.5 hours.

 

 

If students fly into PHL-

1. Take a Taxi to Market Street & 13th Street, which takes around 18 minutes.
2. From Market Street & 13th Street, get the 409 NJ Transit Bus
www.njtransit.com - Direction: 409 Willingboro to Trenton and you arrive at Walter Rand Transportation Center. This takes around 24 minutes.
3. From Walter Rand Transportation center, catch the 313 bus - Direction: 313 Cape May and you arrive at New Jersey Avenue & Roberts Avenue. This takes around 3 hours.
