How to Get There

It is recommended that students fly into Pellston Regional Airport. From the airport students need to take a van to Mackinaw City (www.wolverinestages.com) in order to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Please make sure to check the ferry schedule when booking your ticket. At the beginning and end of the season, the ferry runs less frequently. Once you reach Mackinac Island your employer can meet you to take you to your housing. Students should keep in contact with their employer so they are aware of their departure and arrival times/dates.

If you want a less expensive flight, you can fly into Detroit (DTW). However, it will add an extra day to your travel time. From Detroit, take a bus (www.greyhound.com) to St. Ignace where you can get the ferry to Mackinac Island.
