About Hyannis and Cape Cod

 

An additional perk is spending your summer on Cape Cod, a hook-shaped peninsula of the United States State of Massachusetts.  Cape Cod, or the Cape, is the eastern most part of Massachusetts. The Cape is a popular summer destination for folks from all over the world, where you’ll find quaint seaside villages, seafood shacks, lighthouses and ocean as far as you can see.  Hyannis is located in the middle of the Cape and is referred to as the “Capital of the Cape”.  In Hyannis, you can catch a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket and shop the main streets.  If you enjoy the water and outdoor activities, then this is the place to be for boating, surfing, whale watching, fishing, golfing and more.  Your summer will fly by with plenty of things to do in Hyannis!

 

 

Did you know?

 

·        Employer provides housing and will send housing information closer to the start date.  A deposit of $150-$200 US will be required upon arrival.  Housing may cost up to $160 per week.

·        The Pilgrims first landed in Provincetown, not Plymouth, and you can visit the Pilgrim Monument which is the largest all-granite structure in the US.

A typical summer in Cape Cod includes plenty of sunshine and occasional rain showers. The days are warmer and the evening can be cooler. How to Get There

Students should contact their employer with their arrival information.  Plan to arrive in West Dennis a few days before your start date to complete necessary paperwork before beginning their jobs.  Students must arrive between the hours of 7am (07h) and 7pm (19h). 

Students should plan to fly into Boston Logan Airport (BOS), and from there take the P&B bus to Hyannis Transportation Center.  From there, students can take a taxi to their housing.  The trip should cost about $30 US.
