New California law requires all employees working in the service industry, including bartenders, to obtain The California Food Handlers Card. This is the participants responsibility, and can be done online prior to arrival. This MUST be done before your first shift! The cost is around $20. Position Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Consistently keep the restaurant organized and clean
• Set up trash cans, soda, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at start of shift
• Pick up soiled plates and beverages, and place into bus tubs
• Ensure full bus tubs get brought back into the kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
• Set up heat lamps or umbrellas per a guests request
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
• Ensure uniform and appearance is clean and professional
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests` service needs
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
• Effectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
• Perform related duties as required
• Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property
• Subscribe to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Company policy
• Be courteous to all guests and coworkers
• Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
